Front Squats & 2-Hand Swings Deadlifts weren't feeling as fresh this morning so followed up with some light front squats and swings which make for fun anterior and posterior chain superset accessories on deadlift day. • Something I need to practice: Notice how my knees dip forward on my kettlebell backswing a little bit. When my tibia translates anteriorly, the resulting increase in knee flexion produces a greater knee flexion moment with respect to external forces (i.e. the ground reaction force when the kettlebell is back). This produces a greater knee extension internal moment and requires greater eccentric quadriceps activity. For a truer two-hand swing I need to deepen the hinge and have more vertical tibias which will focus more on the posterior-chain. An important biomechanical consideration when using hip hinge exercises to rehab patients recovering from knee-related injuries. • Blade Series Compression wear courtesy of @taliscrew 🚣♀️ A video posted by PhysioStrength (@physiostrengthnyc) on Dec 10, 2016 at 12:24pm PST Clinton LeeDecember 14, 2016Comment Facebook0 Twitter LinkedIn0 0 Likes
