ClinicalAthlete Meet-Up: Cheri Chan, CSCS, USAW-1 Another member of the @clinicalathlete fam @cherie_amour05 is in town and swung by the clinic yesterday to nerd out on all things PT with me! 🤓 _ Some cool random facts about Cheri you may not know: •Drinks a gallon of water/day 💦 •Former NCAA D1 javelineer @ Cal 🐻🐱 •Snatches way more weight than me 😭🏋️♀️•Doughnut & ramen aficionado 🍩🍜 _ As a lifelong athlete, S&C coach and movement specialist at @performforlife, Cheri already has much experience and a knowledgeable grasp of the PT scene. It's been a long time since I submitted my applications to PT schools, but in my recent experience it seems like DPT candidates (and patients) these days are more well-informed about the physical therapy industry compared to when I first started. While social media & the interwebz may have their limitations, IMO it's done a lot to help brand the profession and to get accessible content into the hands of more people. Social networking has helped put faces to names of impactful health care professionals and has helped connect injured athletes to the right kind of clinicians that can help them. #Clinicalathlete is a testament to that. _ Safe travels & good luck on your PT journey @cherie_amour05! Check out her IG for weightlifting inspiration and if you want a craving for sashimi, ramen and donuts too.
