Dynamic Plank Variations - Part 3 •Dynamic Plank Variation Series Part 3/3• - The last plank in this series challenges stability in alternating diagonal patterns. Begin in a long-arm plank and alternate between tapping your shoulder while elevating the opposite leg. Try to minimize rotational motion in your trunk as one hand and one leg are the only body parts contacting the floor that are providing you balance. - For an extra challenge, try to synchronize the timing of arm/leg as they should leave the floor and return to the floor at the same time. Emphasizing glute engagement on both hips helps with balance by keeping things tight. The anterior oblique sling is also challenged in an isometric fashion.
